Small bushes only one foot tall produce dozens of narrow pods near the top where they are easy to see and pick. Stringless pods are exceptionally tender and flavorful, and stay that way on the plant for a few days, making a relaxed harvest possible. The European “haricot vert” gold standard also does well in containers.

Planted in troughs outside on Feb 12. Plants are 8” tall two weeks later. Looks like almost 100% germination. Some seeds sprouted within 4 days. A couple of the bean seeds have come up later, and look different (rounded leaves, darker green). Will see what we get! Very pleased!
