There are many ornamental oreganos – Greek oregano is the one for culinary use. Fresh or dried, the leaves bring their bold aroma and flavor to sauces, soups, and everything Italian. Perennial plants make low mounds, and send up flowers in late summer that are inconspicuous to humans but adored by bees. Good in containers.
