After more than 400 years as a
popular favorite, Maltese
Cross is barely known today,
though just as deserving of a spot in the garden.
Leafy mounds die back over
the winter and return each
spring, sending up tall stems
topped with round clusters of
brilliant red flowers. They may
be small, but their color draws
attention even at a distance.
Deer and rabbit resistant.
