for its history as both a
marker and a screen for rural
outhouses – no need to ask,
just look for the tall bright
blooms. Gorgeous 4” flowers
bloom all summer on stalks
that can reach 9’, with a range
of colors from white, pinks
and peaches, to brilliant red
and deep maroon. Technically
biennial but often lasts longer,
and re-seeds freely.
