tomatillo ripens round golden
¾” sweet fruits enclosed in
papery husks. Its popularity in
different regions has given
rise to many names: ground
cherry, goldenberry, Cape
gooseberry, uchuva, uvilla,
aguamanto. We like its
Hawaiian name, Poha. Drott’s
is an especially sweet variety.
