Another version of Rat Tail
radish, grown for its immature
seed pods rather than its root,
this one ought to be called
Giant Purple. Deep purple
pods are most tender for
salads at 6” or less, but
continue to be great stir-fry
and pickle material up to 10”.
Plants have a floppy habit and
appreciate neighbors to lean
on, but are happy to sprawl
too. Bees adore the flowers.

Seeds germinated quickly. I grow these for my mom every year.

Seeds were not packaged well. They were crushed in the mail sorter. Only 4 sprouted. And I do have a green thumb. I planted the entire packet.
