NEW for Fall 2026!
This soft neck artichoke-type garlic comes through with a flavor that is mild and mellow while still remaining rich and complex, enhancing any dish without dominating it. It's my favorite for pesto, salad dressing, and other raw uses, where it adds plenty of garlicky goodness without a kick. Large cloves are easy to peel. Long storage life of 9-10 months.
Red Toch originally comes from the Republic of Georgia in the former USSR.
Growing instructions:
*Plant in fall, ideally in October.
*Separate cloves, and plant each one, growing tip facing up, about 4 inches deep and 6 inches apart.
*For best results, mulch after planting with a thick layer of straw, hay, or leaves at least 6 inches deep. Do not use wood chips.
*Harvest when leaves begin to lose color and flop, sometime between late May and early July depending on conditions.
*Hang bulbs by their stalks to cure in a dark cool spot.
*Ready for long-term storage after 6 weeks. Be sure to clip the roots for storage.
Our garlic is sold in one-lb. lots, which will be enough for about a 25-foot row.
