ARUGULA ‘ASTRO’
a.k.a. Roquette or Rocket
Add peppery zing to salads with fresh arugula. It will bolt in hot weather, but the flowers and seed pods are edible too. ‘Astro’ has a taste that is on the mild side of the arugula spectrum, making it a good bulky salad addition rather than a mere seasoning. It is early, vigorous, and more heat tolerant than other varieties. Mixed half and half with basil, it makes a great pesto.
