Moth Mullein

This world traveler finds
itself at home in temperate
areas around the globe.
Considered invasive – in
Colorado it is officially a
“noxious weed” – but in our
neighborhood it appears
unobtrusively at field borders,
adding its appealing flowers to
the menu for pollinators.
Biennial, with a modest
rosette its 1st year and in its
2nd a thin stalk to 6’, with 1”
flowers. Stamens are orange
with purple hairs and
resemble moth antennae.
