This little-known French heirloom, literally “Ball of Gold” but also called Golden Perfection, is only the 4th melon (of dozens trialed) to meet our standards for fabulous taste, productivity, and excellent holding capacity both in the field and after harvest. The flesh is pale green shading to gold at its center. Harvest when the skin turns deep brilliant gold.
